It’s so sad how Belle never sees how the Beast reaches out to her longingly just as she leaves. I don’t know if she even realizes how heartbroken he is to finally have found love but to let it go and make that sacrifice for her and her happiness. But look at the way she looks at him when he touches the side of his face. It’s so warm and full of compassion. They really do love each other, but Belle knows that she needs to take care of her father and that simple loving and affectionate gesture says more in this small part of the scene than anything. Actions speak louder than words. This is such a beautiful and heartbreaking scene of the movie that I think most people overlook.
